Jessica Alba met with Congress, the Obama Administration and Secretary Clinton as part of her role as honorary U.S co-chair of the 1GOAL campaign.

In a meeting with Chairwoman Nita Lowey (a US Congressional champion on global education)the actress said,

"All parents dream of giving every opportunity to their children. The 75 million children out of school worldwide could be our next generation’s leaders, athletes, artists, doctors and teachers. They need leaders in Washington and around the world to deliver on their promises so our children can receive the education they deserve. Together, we can make the lasting legacy of the first World Cup in Africa education for all children."

Alba also met Nancy Pelosi and the Congressional Women's Caucus as part of her great work furthering the 1GOAL .
